MAYFIELD, Ky. (WTVQ) – The City of Mayfield and County of Graves are coordinating a multi-agency event to provide resources and a joyful vacation to residents of Mayfield and Graves County who have been affected by the catastrophic tornado that has caused extensive damage in western Kentucky.

Graves County Executive Judge Jesse Perry said the tornado destroyed a lot, but it did not cancel Christmas. who have lost so much, with the love of Christmas.

Operation Christmas Tuesday is scheduled for December 21. According to the organizers, she will mobilize state, county and city staff as well as other community members and volunteer groups to provide a 4-day supply of food and water, as well as maps. – gifts, supplies and toys for the children before the holidays.

Mayfield Mayor Kathy Stewart O’Nan said it was an important task, but she is confident the community can do it: “We are looking for cash donations and gift cards to complement the toys and we are looking for help provide families with the things they need. to spend Christmas.
